Hey Vlad, already own NV but it was only 200 frames I wanted so easier to use NI instead of processing the full 3 hours of HDV.

Cheers

PNG support?

Hi guys,

Just frame grabbed a load of images from my HDV footage using VLC and it saves in PNG format. I wanted to run these captures through NI but it doesnt support them.

Any chance of this in the future?

Thanks

Damn, beaten to it!

Being a user of NI since 2.61 I just want to thank the team for improving something that was already unbeatable.

I no longer need to upgrade my PC, this new version is so fast its unreal! How did you do it?

In the meantime could you not save the AVI as single framed BMP files and run NI in batch mode over them before reassembling them into AVIs?

I think VirtualDUB has an option to save out as BMPs so I would assume Adobe products would have a similar option?

In a similar vain, can you tell NI to disregard ALL EXIF and PICT data and only save output files with the actual JPEG graphic data ? This would be useful for then uploading to the web for smaller files. I usually preprocess with EXIFER and MetaStripper which is a bit time consuming. Thanks Any fur...

Using NI's Sharpening to produce same results as PS UnSharp?

Hi folks,

I was wondering if someone could tell me how to make NI's sharpening tools emulat the UnSharp mask of Photoshop 7.

I generally use the setting of :

Amount : 180%
Radius: 0.3pixels
Threshold: 0levels

I've played around with NI's settings but cant find a similar look :(

Many thanks,

Rick

General JPEG Artifact removal question

Hi folks, Going by the example pics on the NI site, how would I create a profile to remove JPEG artifacts? (Eg: Street light and close up of the eye). When I create a profile it never quite manages to remove the artifacts anywhere near as well as the examples :( Can someone guide me ? Thanks Rikki

Im going to semi hijack this thread sorry :) In the NI Pro version which I use the slider is great for setting better quality but would it be possible to include a "preview" box underneath the slider the same way as photoshop does to show you what size the output file will be. I find that ...

Remembering previous settings in batch mode

Hi folks,

I always save in JPEG mode automatically when running a batch but I always have to check the same boxes then manually select JPG from the list each time I run a batch job.

Can these options be saved?

Thanks for the reply!

Maybe an idea instead of the lasso tool allow the noise selector screen to rotate the image its looking at so you can have a rectangular shape.

Sounds a bit tricky tho I must admit.

Keep up the fantastic work!
