Neat Video & Neat Image community

I logged in the forum to ask for the same I need to incorporate Neat Image in the Adobe Lightroom workflow. I believe that LR already allows to add "custom" modules, and is going to also provide a SDK to develop some sort of plug-ins.

I would like to build a profile for my film scanner and color slides. Should I use the b/w target provided on NeatImage web site, or the color one? Also, is it better to shoot on screen (i have an LCD) or shoot a printed target?

Hi,
when I drag a rectangle in the picture to select the area to be analyzed (tab "Device Noise Profile"), I see the rectangle has a quite thick transparent border. Will the analyzed area include that under the thick rectangle border?

profiles that I have created and saved with NeatImage Pro 2.6, are they still accurate to be loaded and used with version 3.1, or should I make new profiles with the new NeatImage version?

Hi,
I understand that the exposure time impacts the noise on a digital camera (longer exposure -> more noise). So when building noise profiles for my digital camera, should I make different profiles for different exposure times, or it isn't really worth the extra burden?

If you use Vuescan and save a RAW file in TIFF format, you can work on it with NeatImage directly.
