I too use MRWFormat for converting my RAW files (Minolta A1). I have found the new AutoProfile feature to be so good, that I am not using my profiles any more. This allows me to change interpolation algorithms and still get a good noise reduction without building 30 or so profiles. First shot, I use...

Try the AutoProfile feature in 4.1. It has saved me a load of time already. I use PS CS to Batch process the images. I am coming into PS from RAW files, so by batch processing, I cannot make any adjustments to exposure, etc. But, if I have an image that I really want to tweak, I can go back and do i...

RAW file formats and image proccesing of them
I moved up from a Minolta Dimage S404 to an A1 a while back. This also ment changing over from JPEG to RAW format, which is why I made the move, along with more control. I immediately shot the test target at all the ISO settings and created custom profiles. I was having a lot of troubles getting the...

Photoshop CS
Hopefully when I get home tonight, a copy of Photoshop CS will be waiting for me. Have you tested with the new version yet?

How I use NI
I shoot quite a few pics per week, so I need to automate as much as possible. I have written a set of actions (based on camera and ISO), that can be batch executed in PS 6.0.1. They all perform the same steps: First the JPG or TIF file is opened and converted to the correct color profile (I use Best...

Forum Question
I don't know why, but when I reply to a topic (thread) the Subject is not automatically copied into the message. I have to copy the subject to the clipboard (windows 2000), then paste it into the message. Is it supposed to be this way?

NeatImage Pro+ Plugin & Photoshop actions
Yes, these are shown in the action. However, at least in windows, you have to expand the NI line in the action to see them. If a user does not do this, they may not notice. Therefore, I thought it was worth a mention. This is also consistant with the PS desciption of an action, which indicates that ...

Photoshop Plugin and getting EXIF info.
I get it in the pluggin too, if my input file is the JPG from the camera. Once I save as a PSD, it's gone. I speek from Windows only.

plug in question
This could all be put together in an Action to simplify. Since the first thing I do after retrieving and archiving my pics is to run NeatImage, I have an action that opens the original JPGs, runs NI with the correct Profile for that camera, Inserts my copyright notice, and saves it in another folder...
