While there is no filter SDK, there are ways of pluging in that don't require a full UI. PT Lens for example has no File UI as the files are passed from Lightroom and saved back into Lightroom. There are quite a lot of companies going this route and it id similar in nature to Aperture's plugins.

That would work, except for the waiting for photoshop to load bit!
Of course in the export queue, you can also save presets, for a quicker experience.

Lightroom 2 offers a way of adding external programs as export 'plugins'. The program doesn't need menus, as the files are passed through the Export Dialog and saved from it. Adobe Lightroom is not released yet, so it doesn't support external modules like Photoshop plug-ins. I hope it will support them in v1.0. Vlad Hi Vlad. I didn't recieve any announcement to upgrade. What's the deal exactly? Any major changes? I've had a look at the screenshots and will it looks a little different it's not a huge difference. Is there anything new going on under the hood?
