So now that we have Lightroom 2...

Does that spell any good news as for the plug-in interface?

Lightroom plug-in please...

Logged in to the forum, just to ask the same as everyone else - please bring us a Lightroom plug-in version of NeatImage! As far as the "jump to Photoshop and..." well that is just a waste of time if you have more than a handful of photos. Plus, going from a RAW file, you need to change yo...

Nikon is correcting the EXIF ISO issue

Hi guys, Looks like Nikon is actually addressing the EXIF ISO issue..! At least, in the latest firmware update for their high-end dSLR D2H this can be found in among the release notes: "The ISO setting is now recorded in the EXIF ISO tag. Previously, this data was found only in the private Make...

Queue window columns

Two minor snuggles.... 1. The # column is reserved in the header, but is not used in the window below, resulting in the headers vs the columns below being offset and not vertically aligned as I'm sure was the intention. 2. Minor improvement: It might be nicer to show "auto" in the profile ...

Multiprocessor support on Hyperthreading single CPU

Is there any possible advantage at all enabling the multiprocessor option on a Hyperthreading single CPU system? Have this been tested, and how much gain can be expected, a couple of percents or? It will detect "two" CPUs and run the batch processing in pairs of two. But is it an advantage...

Indeed!

Hi Vlad, Yes that seems to be case indeed! I was at 33% which is the default size typically here when opening the 10D images here. Maybe the fit-to-screen was changed with 4.x; I think previous versions opened at 100% by default (although I could be mistaken), which would explain why I didn't notice...

Preview image comparsion shifts up/left a few pixels in NI 4

In NeatImage 4.x the preview image (and also the final image output) shifts a couple of pixels up and left when the filtered output is shown compared to when left mousebutton is pressed to compare to the original. Is that a bug or a feature? Hmm... I think it makes comparing the images harder. Comme...

Problem solved!

Thank you! Perhaps you should consider removing them from the Profiles section... Now that I look I see I actually picked the wrong ones too. How silly! Guess they were the ones available at that time for NI 4.0, since they are the oldest ones. Nevertheless, they seem to not contain the right inform...

Sample files sent to support@neatimage.com

Hi Vlad, Thanks for the incredible quick response! :) I *think* the device name should be correct. After all, I am using the NeatImage 4.0 profile for Canon EOS 10D intended for BreeezeBrowser converted RAW files. ;) Of course there could be a problem with the profiles themselves. I have them instal...

Profile matching and Canon EOS 10D using NeatImage 4.1

Hi, First thanks for a great update, the NeatImage 4.x upgrade really makes a difference to previous versions (heck, I was still enjoying the faster 3.x version ;)). But there is a problem with profile matching with my Canon EOS 10D. As I've already posted before, my Canon S45 have an issue with the...

JPEG2000

I prefer using the automated batch mode of NeatImage, and typically I don't do much post-processing afterwards. NeatImage already does sharpening. In odd occations I will need to tweak an image further (and JPEG2000 is fine for further postprocessing too, it even offers lossless compression if desir...

JPEG2000 and 16-bits support

Yes, JPEG2000 supports 16-bit color depth as opposed to JPEG. My workflow would be going from RAW (which allows me to extract the 12-bit data) then go through a RAW converter (I would use Breezebrowser, but the Canon converter software supplied with the camera would work also) to 16-bit TIF, then ru...

JPEG2000 might be another option?

Hi, forgive me if I intrude in this thread, but... What about JPEG2000 support, would that be another option? I get 12 bits per colour channel from my Canon digital camera, but JPEGs truncates them to 8 bits. I'd love to be able to store the images in a 16 bit format, but TIFFs are just too bulky. R...

PhotoImpact 8

Hi,
Wow Torben, thanks for the hint! It works great with PhotoImpact 8 as well, I just never thought of it supporting Photoshop plug-ins before!
And the new version 3.0 is like a dream!! Rock on!

/Roger
