Apparently, more than 8K in the Pro edition; up to full HD (1080P) in the home version. Further description from the "Overview" page: ◾Neat Video supports the industry standard video data types and file formats ◦standard-bitdepth (8-bit per channel; 24-bit RGB) rendering is supported by al...

Excellent question and answer. Consider adding this under profiling.html or qna.html or both.

10-bit yuv input for the Virtualdub plug-in

I'd like to see Neatvideo request yuv input from Virtualdub for direct processing. E.g., I can set Virtualdub to a decompression format of 4:2:2 YCbCr (UYVY) for processing by its internal levels filter, then save the same format output from the filter to an uncompressed file without conversion. If ...

Thanks for the quick reply, Vlad. I know what format I'll capture to and what my workflow will be now. And now that you've answered that, I notice that the reference to 10-bit support that I saw applied to specific hosts only. I should really read sentences all the way to the end.

Virtualdub YUV to Neatvideo

The user guide for NV for Vdub indicates that "RGB data that Neat Video usually takes as input" is converted to YCrCb. What format can NV accept from Vdub other than RGB, that won't require conversion? Previously I've worked with SD NTSC video captured and converted in real time to DV. Now...

You are right, there seems to be a bug in one of the third-party GUI libraries we use. It shows up in situations where the Windows scaling is used. Thank you for helping us localize that trouble spot. We now have a fix: please re-download and re-install the updated plug-in and check if it works cor...

O.K., I found what's causing the problem. You seem to be placing the center of your window at the center of the screen. When the font size is increased to 125%, I believe it adds one more line of text above your "Configure" button. That must shift whatever your reference for the center of ...

Vlad, I appreciate the fact that you recognized my explanation of the most likely reason that the mode gets toggled as unexpected behavior, and prioritize the fix for that, but don't think that once that's fixed it can't inadvertently be toggled for another reason. When you have 3 monitors each of w...

I'd like to amend my request to a short wish list: 1) a confirmation dialog when changing scan type from interlaced to progressive or vice versa 2) an option at the initial configuration window to save and load named temporal filter radius/threshold combinations 3) a button on the initial configurat...

Normally, the window position is saved. Vlad I have yet to see it save the position in which the window was closed, if that's what you mean. I tried a Vista x64 machine, Vdub 1.911, NV 3.0, and it never saved the window position. It always opened centered, same position as opening with control key ...

Disabling secondary monitors and closing Ultramon had no effect. Neat Video 3.3.0 with Virtualdub 1.10.2 and Neatvideo 3.4.0 with Virtualdub 1.10.3 both exhibit the problem. Yeah, I just noticed that I left an older Virtualdub residing in C:\Virtualdub_old, and it has the older plug-in in plugins32....

Re: Insufficient memory issue using NV within Virtualdub

Hi Barney, where would I find these settings? So far looking under preferences I don't see this. Thanks. Under options/preferences you have disk I/O; choose unbuffered asynchronous. Options/performance has the buffer settings. Sounds like you haven't increased them from default. They're currently a...
