some of my lightbox photos (fz30 digicam)

I have been using neatimage for a few months now. I can't get by without it - I'm also adicted ;) my digicam has a 'reputation for noise' but not anymore... here is a link to my flicker site which has many examples of NI applied to the noisebox known as the fz30: http://www.flickr.com/photos/linux-w...

In v5.2, Neat Image does supports dual-core CPUs. You may want to download the latest version. Kind regards, Vlad hi vlad, to be extra clear, its worth saying WHAT kind of support (or benefit) you'll get from dualcore or SMP (and also HT). ie, are you splitting one image processing task ACROSS mult...

Re: LZW with TIFF files... Soon?

Now that the patents are expiring on the LZW compression, will we see this in the software? I am looking forward to this so I can save a good amount of space. Thank You, Tom I thought the patent was only to restrict ENCODING. decoding was always free, yes? (the magic, like mp3, is in the encoding/c...

Please let me know which versions of Neat Image did you try and which one you use now. I'm using the latest (yesterday) demo from the website. I think it says 5.2 (?) but the help about-me says just 5.0. is there a newer demo I can try? is the free demo kept up to date with the main releases? /bryan

btw, I'm curious - is there is better card to run these days, if I want to use an agp slot, have 2 dvi outputs (my lcd's are only 1280 each, any more than that is gravy) and don't really need 3d or gaming - just photo processing in dual dvi and RELIABLE. in your experience, if we wanted to solve the...

Do you have the MaxView setting in Powerdesk Multi-Display Controls window? I don't see that at all. all the settings that look like they would be interesting, I have taken screensnaps of. perhaps I deinstalled the larger program (matrox) and kept only a simple driver? not sure. I think so, though ...

also, I'm curious is there any better stability (or honestly, even less) when run as a pshop plugin vs standalone? I would think standalone would be more stable since you dont' have a 'foreign' api to have to interface to. you also don't have to inherit any pshop bugs or stuff like that. but I wonde...

Thank you for the screenshots. I would try to disable "save/restore window positions", at least for NI windows. Please try this to see whether it helps. that can be done selectively on a per-client basis? interesting! how would I do that (I'm more of a unix guy than a winders guy) ;) Do y...

sporadic crashes on my matrox g550 dual-dvi

here are some screenshots you wanted (version #'s): http://www.flickr.com/photos/linux-works/sets/1140671/ (click on full-size to see the text, better, of course). about one in every 5 runs, NI crashes on me. I am able to load an image, start to profile the noise, then move onto the next phase where...
