One more post on this and I will stop wasting space. This is a render using FPrime, the kick-ass aftermarket renderer for Lightwave from Worley Labs ( http://www.worley.com ). This renderer is really amazing and very fast compared to the LW render engine, but still generates noise. The below render ...

Using NI with Radiosity Renders
Anyone who has used global illumination methods in 3D model rendering has experienced the Monte Carlo stochastic effects of concentrated light sources and the noise that this method generates in the subsequent rendering. NI does a nice job of toning down this noise and handling it effectively, makin...

Built-in FFT/IFFT filtering capabilities?
Is there any plan to include some sort of FFT/IFFT capabilities within NI to extend its range beyond noise supression and into the realm of regular pattern suppression? This is NOT just a simple extension of NI (I would think) but it seems like a natural progression based on some of the examples of ...

Using NI appropriately
While NI can do a lot, it does it on noise. Regular (periodic) patterns are often better addressed with a more appropriate technique like Fast Fourier Transform filtering. Kirk, Thank you very much for your kind words. We do keep working on Neat Image. In particular, the Mac version still needs a few more features to be implemented and we are working on this. I hope the next updates of the plug-in will be even more useful for you. Kind regards, Vlad You're welcome. A...
