I normally reduce noise slightly in RAW to give it a head start. But I find NI is far more efficient at reducing noise in the TIFF. I guess it's the same with a lot of plugins - they often seem to work better than native Photoshop. Am I allowed to say that!

Canon 50D profiles
Hi
Will profiles be made available for the new Canon 50D? I am currently using the 40D profiles, as I assume that is the next best thing.

Using Photoshop and Neat Image together to reduce noise
Hi I always shoot RAW mode. I usually apply a small amount of noise reduction in Photoshop CS4 RAW editor before exporting to TIFF/PSD, where I use NI if the shot is noisy. Is it best to do all noise reduction in NI, or should I continue my current practise? I use a Canon 50D with 24-105L lens. Rob
