Why do some reviews say that NI is slow

While reviews of NI that I have read generally praise it, many of them also say it is slow to process an image. Am I missing something here? I've only been using it for a few days, but I find that, at default settings, it takes 10 seconds or less from the time I click on Apply until the image is rea...

Last week I took 80+ shots of my son's hockey game. I was using a Nikon D90 with a 70-300mm F4.5 zoom set at 1/320 sec which gave me about an F8 - F10 aperture at a 3200 ISO.
