Encore can burn a disk folder, too, so burner speed has nothing to do with my question.... is the neat video filter applied if I render in Encore?

I found out waiting doesn't do the trick, but if I step a frame forward/backward, and then open the plugin, I get the correct half frame. Another thing... I have Canon HV20 (and noise plugin "home" version), and I also found out that using the non-interlaced shooting mode (1080 25P) and re...

Problems capturing the frame for profiling

First of all, I'm using PS Elements 4. My problem is that when I want to capture a noise profile, the plugin often says the area is too small. At the bottom of the window the size indicator sometimes reports 64 x 36 (half frame), sometimes 279 x 158, and sometimes even 720 x 288. I never get the ori...

Sorry, I meant vertical... after experimenting a bit more, I found that a better noise profile helped in removing the banding. Anyway, we work on this and the support for dual core CPUs will be introduced in one of the next updates.

Dual core X2

I also noticed that the PS plugin does not benefit from using a dual core CPU (AMD 4200 X2 in my case).
Noise Ninja does that, now the same image using NN takes 6.3 sec (was 10.9 with AMD 3500+). NeatImage still takes 14.5 secs

Enhancements

What comes to my second suggestion, the Software tag in the EXIF header is used at least by Adobe Camera RAW and Capture One. About the first... I don't always use the same filtration settings. For some ISO values (below 800) I always set low and very low frequency sliders to zero, and for higher IS...
