Do you have an identical benchmark tool for v2 to take Vegas out of the comparison? The v3 Vegas Demo can't filter 1080p video, so I can't do a correct benchmark myself. Frame: 1920x1080 progressive, 8 bits per channel, Radius: 1 frame Running the test data set on up to 12 CPU cores and on up to 1 G...

v2 to v3 performance upgrade?

I'm happy with the v2 output quality, but would love to have more performance. My CPU is a i9 970 (6x3,7GHz+HT) with 12GB RAM, and my GPU is a ATI HD69xx (810MHz core, 2GB of 1250MHz memory). What performance improvement can I expect upgrading from v2 to v3 - taking into account the 6+6 cores, and t...

Another vote for OpenCL. Vegas improved a lot with OpenCL, NeatVideo should be next :)
Lack of OpenCL support is the reason I didn't upgrade to v3.

I run a i7 970 with HD6950. I'm sure OpenCL will make an important difference.

OFX vs native Vegas

With Vegas 11 supporting OFX, is there a difference between using the OFX or the Vegas plugin?
Does OFX have the same limitations using temporal filtering?
Do you plan to drop native Vegas support (and lower the price of OFX)?

Re: More Accurate Results

with that estimation, a :30 would take 6:00 to export. v3 CPU only: :30 clip with NEAT applied all the way through took 4:52. so there's a 19% improvement for ATI users. Thanks for benchmarking. Really hope for OpenCL support. I have a i7 920 (12GB) with a HD6950 (2GB). I'm sure GPU acceleration wo...

The only difference between them is the resolution, so Home is your best option.

v3 Performance?

I'm interested in the performance gains of v3. Did anyone benchmark it? I read the promo, but it doesn't make clear how much gain I should expect cleaning 1080p video (max temporal resolution, non adaptive). I can benchmark the demo using a lower res video, but does resolution scale linear? So doubl...

Fade Detection / Destruction

Especially the latest update has quite some improvements (like no lag mode), but the most important drawback on using Neat hasn't changed. When using temporal cleaning, the filter destroys fades. I guess that the filter has been designed to work with unedited footage, but that's not always possible....
