Very true. My project is exactly that (FCP+codecs+filters+NV+etc.). Hopefully we'll see a 64bit FCP soon. But... it's still worth the freezing risk because NV is so darn good!

Just read on a thread that FCP can only take 2.5gb ram... This stinks.

I've noticed that selecting the Adaptive Filtration helps a little with getting rid of the small grid pattern. Again, sometimes it's noticeable and other times not as much. I'll try compressing for DVD/Blu-Ray and see if I can notice it projected onto a big screen.

Having some issues... FCP has been crashing after using NV (I also received memory errors relating to NV), and when I reboot, NV is now unregistered. I have to input the info all over again and I lose any renders.
