Vlad, Definitely turning off mulit-processor mode keeps FCP and NV more stable. A lot less crashes now. It's still a little sensitive, but MUCH better! Again, amazing product. My feature is looking absolutely fantastic. I'll be posting an updated trailer soon that will show NV at work. I shot on the...

Vlad,

Very true. My project is exactly that (FCP+codecs+filters+NV+etc.). Hopefully we'll see a 64bit FCP soon. But... it's still worth the freezing risk because NV is so darn good!

Love NV, but...

Man, I hate how many times FCP crashes/freezes when using NV. I know it's not NV's fault (due to the memory issues with FCP), but I really wish there was a way to bypass the error window and continue working; clicking 'OK' on the error window just brings up another error window and I have to Force Q...

Vlad, Never mind. I believe I've found out the problem is the type of transition I'm using. It's actually a filter (not a transition) from Digital Film Tools called Optical Dissolve v3.0.0. This is a dissolve that truly resembles the type of dissolves in film. When I used just a standard transition,...

I can send two small clips (each with NV applied), and then add a cross dissolve as a transition. You'll see that the dissolve actually dissolves dark levels first as opposed to dissolving the entire image at the same time. Also try two of your own clips (without NV) and add a cross dissolve (again,...

Well, after further tests I've concluded that the best results I got was exporting the clips with transitions and then importing the new clip and adding NV. I know this can be a problem combining clips and using one profile (my profile build is good and nearly 'universal' for my camera). I still see...

Follow workflow or you'll get transition issues

Not really a bug. But I'm applying NV to a finished edited film and whenever I applied to two clips with a dissolve transition the video dissolves in a very strange manner). The only work around for me is to apply NV to each clip; export; re-import; rebuild sequence with transitions. I know this is ...

Just read on a thread that FCP can only take 2.5gb ram... This stinks.

Hopefully this can be addressed by Apple with FCS3?

UPDATE: This is true. In FCP it only allows up to 100% of 2560MB ram).

Re-registering NV always works, though it seems some of the profiles I've used need to be re-profiled. Unfortunately I'm using NV on a feature film and all of the clips are rather large. My system has had issues anyway (probably due to the Matrox MXO, and Apogee Ensemble as well as few other plug-in...

Hi NVTeam, I'm still going to hold judgment on the gridding issue (which may not be an issue at all). We all know how Mac has a gamma issue and I want to be sure that there really is a problem first; I'll be compressing later this week and then I will see). Even though I'm using the Matrox MXO on a ...

I've noticed that selecting the Adaptive Filtration helps a little with getting rid of the small grid pattern. Again, sometimes it's noticeable and other times not as much. I'll try compressing for DVD/Blu-Ray and see if I can notice it projected onto a big screen.

FCP crashes and now NV is unregistered

Having some issues... FCP has been crashing after using NV (I also received memory errors relating to NV), and when I reboot, NV is now unregistered. I have to input the info all over again and I lose any renders.
