Sorry, i don't know anything about FCPX. As i said, i was just telling what kind of filter you may try to search/test. I appreciate that, but one search of Google will show that FCPX has no such Media Filter and is why I, being in a Neat video licensed user, am posting here in the first place to re...
It's now 2017 and there is a Dust and Scratches filter in version 4.5.2. The problem I am having is with white dots that don't move . Neat Video handles moving noise well, but not fixed white dots. For example, I have a few places on my car's windshield that have been hit by rocks, resulting in tiny...
Thanks JDW, Did you get a new iMac in the end? Yes, I did. I posted benchmarks here: https://www.neatvideo.com/nvforum/viewtopic.php?p=5079&sid=2733230666521942316695a598f78eea#5079 Thanks for the tip. Basically you are using the same trick I am to "speed things up." It doesn't really...
What I do to avoid the sluggishness problem is to noise-filter a clip, export it in Apple ProRes, then re-import it and do my edits. While not the ideal, it does work fairly well.
Regaring the GPU support, we will likely add it in the next update of Neat Video. Once the update becomes available, please re-run the test and also post the results in this thread. I'm sorry for my delayed reply, but I only today visited your website and noticed NeatVideo had been updated. I disco...
I gained access to a Skylake, Oct. 2015 iMac 5K with high-end specs: 4GHz i7 QuadCore CPU, M395 GPU (2GB), and 1TB Flash storage. Here are the results from NeatBench (Neat Video 4.0.9) run via the Terminal: Looking for NVIDIA CUDA-capable devices... Failed to load CUDA driver ("/usr/local/cuda/...
Vlad, my 3.06GHz DuoCore iMac (March 2009) at the office just finished denoting a 15min. clip, having taken 4.5 days of non-stop running to do it. From within the Preferences (in FCPX) I choose Performance > Optimize Settings... and got the following results: Frame Size: 1920x1080 progressive Bitdep...
More specifically, I have a 15 minute clip with Neat Video applied, Radius 5. Since I cannot play video at all, even using Proxy, I tried to Share a 720p version of the clip, just so I could see what my edits look like. After 60 hours of continuous chugging away, FCPX showed me that it was only at ...
What is wrong with your database at the following URL? fifonik.com/nv/ I downloaded NeatBench 64-bit for my Yosemite iMac and ran it in the Terminal, but pasting the results into the "NeatVideo Optimize log" field and then clicking "Save" yields an invalid error. I then open FCPX...
Thank you for the info, Vlad. I see that on page 33 in the FCPX guide for v4 of Neat Video: https://www.neatvideo.com/files4/NVFCMUG.pdf So basically: 1) Select a featureless area of 16x16 up to 256x256 pixels. 2) Click the Manual Fine-Tune button. 3) Repeat (1) & (2) above for other sections of...
I'm pleased that Noisy Nick and barney received some clarification in the above answer, but I am still trying to get my head around the Fine-Tune feature. I have a clip with noise. The Auto feature is quite good, but I am thinking if it couldn't be even better. There are dark and light seconds of th...
3. We have added a description of the problem in the known issues page: ...we recommend to disable background rendering and to trigger render manually. I still am using a very old March 2009 3.06GHz iMac (8GB RAM, GeForce GT 130) with FCPX and Neat Video v4, and I must say that the speed is not hel...
