Color space used
Hello. With the VirtualDub plugin, you can only feed RGB data. From what i've understood, you convert internaly to YUV. As there is no setting (unless i've missed it) to provide the colorspace information, how do you choose the correct colorspace matrix (BT.601, BT.709, BT.2020) to use to convert pr...

Setting flickering
Hello.
I've a little trouble with the flickering.
On very old film based movies, you can see flickering.
But, on this the specific case of "very old film based movies", is it frame flickering or local flickering ?

Re: Support higher bit depth in VirtualDub plugin.
I am not sure if this support already covers input/export and filter interfaces. Yes it does, the following is now added in vdplugin.h kPixFormat_RGB_Planar = 80, kPixFormat_RGB_Planar16 = 81, kPixFormat_RGB_Planar32F = 82, kPixFormat_RGBA_Planar = 83, kPixFormat_RGBA_Planar16 = 84, kPixFormat_RGBA...

Re: Support higher bit depth in VirtualDub plugin.
VDud2 added planar float RGB support. Unless i've misunderstood You support float mode on others software, meaning the core of the filter can work in float mode, and so nothing prevent to add now support for this mode, as both VDub2 and avisynth support RGB float mode. Do you intend to add it in the...

Re: Second suggestion : A black & white mode
I re-suggest this, mostly to avoid "Not Uniform Cr Cb" message in a Black and White movie, i've used Greyscale (avisynth script) before sending to NV.

Re: Noise profiles
Ah... Meaning that if one day there is a v6... It's better that i import v4 instead of v5 created from v4 ?
Is this size reduction of image sample specific to importing from previous version, and doesn't occur in case of noise profile directly created with v5 ?

Re: Noise profiles
Is it normal that the size of the .dnp file goes down from 250k to 150k, when i open a nv4 noise profile in nv5, and then save it ?
The option to save the noise sample is active.

Re: Loading with avisynth
Ok, thanks for your tips. I didn't think of the option of doing 2 passes excluding, because it will require twice the space for storing the intermediate result, like : video=whatever source filter (DGIndex,AVISource, etc...) from original source LoadVirtualDubPlugin("NeatVideo5.vdf", "...

Is it possible to use differents radius preset filters importing with avisynth ? I have a video has two very different noise sequences, with the second stronger than the first. The first preset has a temporal radius of 3, the second preset has a temporal radius of 4. If you're wondering what kind of...
