Re: Before buying - some questions regarding Standard version vs Second Revision

1. Either version should work fine in CC 2018. The known issues of Premiere itself are somewhat different for Standard Version and Second Revision though. Please see those in the following two pages: Standard Version and Second Revision 2. There are issues in Premiere itself with speed changes. Ther...

Re: Premiere Pro freezing all the time

Please open Neat Video window, go to its menu Tools > Preferences > Performance and make a screenshot of that window. Please send it to support [at] neatvideo.com for analysis. Please also create a fresh new test project with just one clip and one effect (Neat Video) and verify that the problem is r...

Re: error when using Neat Video in Adobe Media Encoder

Do you run Premiere when Media Encoder is working? Do you receive the error if Premiere is closed at that moment? Do you receive the same errors if you render/export directly from Premiere? Please open just Premiere (close ME) and make a screenshot showing the Performance tab in Neat Video Preferenc...

Re: Resolve now crashing after 2nd GPU install

The red line under the GPU memory slider indicates the amount of GPU memory currently occupied by the host application and other applications (anything that is not Neat Video). Only 832 MB remains available (at this moment) for Neat Video to use. So you should at least limit the amount of allowed me...

Re: Resolve now crashing after 2nd GPU install

Perhaps it is something different. Please try to set Resolve to use one of those GPUs and also set Neat Video to use the other one. Check if that helps to prevent errors. If it doesn't, try to disable use of both GPUs in Neat Video for a test.

Thank you,
Vlad

Re: Premiere 2019 or 2020?

There is no significant difference between 2019 and 2020 from the point of view of Neat Video.

Re: Preview frames in the gui not showing correctly when entered from the beginning of the clip

We decided to show all frames from the beginning of the clip and then place the current frame in the middle of that set. It is different than the frame selected in VD itself. This is done by our design decision. We decided that this offers better experience overall.

Re: Speed in Virtualdub dropped 1/3 of benchmark speed

The quality mode is different. In VD, you use non-default High setting, while NB uses the default Normal setting. That is the most likely cause of the difference of speeds. It should be higher in VD (since it is working with 8-bit data) when all filter settings are equal.

I also don't know. Please post the complete logs of both NeatBench and Optimize.

Re: Speed in Virtualdub dropped 1/3 of benchmark speed

NeatBench5 uses the default filter settings and the frame size of 1920x1080 with 32-bit bitdepth. If you use any non-default settings or if your video in VD has different size or bitdepth (which is almost certain because VD doesn't support 32-bit bitdepth), then the Check Speed or Optimize Settings ...

Re: Speed in Virtualdub dropped 1/3 of benchmark speed

The host application is likely losing some time on its processing. Please see this article for details.

Re: Does Neat Video work with Pinnacle?

Yes, Neat Video is primarily a noise/grain reduction filter. It can reduce some dust and scratches in film. Please see an example of that.
