Re: Best options to speed up processing 4K?

I would consider switching the quality modes to Normal in both temporal and spatial. The speed would appreciably increase.

Re: Preblem "malloc" in neatvideo4 for Virtualdub

Yes, 32-bit software is more limited in terms of available memory, so there is a much higher chance of running into a situation of memory shortage, which seems to be what is happening on your computer. I recommend to use the 64-bit version in such situations (or always).

Re: Blurriness even with filters disabled

It is possible that FCPX itself is doing something unexpected there. It is difficult to say without seeing a test case. Could you please prepare a small test project with one short clip in FCPX and send it to us (exported as XML and with separately included source clip) for direct tests? Please send...

Re: The best way to batch de-noise hundreds of video clips

There is no fully automatic solution to that. You can just save some time by doing repeating operations only once where possible. Specifically, if several clips show the same noise (if they were shot by one camera in the same shooting mode), then you can save some time on creating noise profiles and...

Re: Best options to speed up processing 4K?

If you want to stay with AMD, then RX Vega 64 or R9 Fury might be an option, especially in Windows where GPU drivers work at full speed. Please see this blog post for some figures. Those are for fullHD but the relative differences in speed should be similar for 4k as well.

Re: Poor eGPU support

Could you please post the complete log from Optimize Settings window? It is possible that the problem is in the Mac versions of the GPU drivers that are known to run modern AMD GPUs slower than the corresponding GPU drivers running under Windows. For example, please compare the results from Radeon R...

Re: sharpening

If you do not need to reduce noise, then it makes sense to disable the temporal filter as a whole and set the noise reduction amounts (in all channels and frequencies) in the spatial filter to 0%. That should disable noise reduction while keeping sharpening active. To speed up processing please cons...

Re: Temporal filter pixel shift

Please kindly prepare a small test project allowing to reproduce the problem and send it to support for analysis. Once we reproduce and see it directly, we will try to determine the cause.

Thank you.

Re: A few feature requests

Thank you for the suggestions 1 and 2, that makes a good sense. Regarding the 3rd idea, it is very similar to the way manual Fine-Tuning (not Auto Fine-Tune) works now. Please double-check the description of manual Fine-Tuning in the Device Noise Profiles section of the user guide (look for "Case of...

Re: Should I Denoise then Stabilize or visa versa?

You will likely notice that Neat Video can cope with such kind of moving frames to reduce noise without blurring the moving details. Neat Video has the built-in mechanisms to achieve that and so does not require additional help from a stabilization software. You can try to use before Neat Video too ...

Re: Why do the frame selection window and preview window have different brightness?

Hi Steve, I believe you are asking about the VirtualDub plug-in, is that correct? Could you make a test case allowing to reproduce that on our computers? For example if you have a clip that shows up like that when being opened in VirtualDub and then in Neat Video, could you send it to us for direct ...
