I have noted your suggestion too and we will discuss possible options in our team before making an implementation decision.
Thank you for the suggestion.

Re: Noice capture is moving around
I think we will add a shortcut (a special key) to do that function Build Profile (Current Frame).
That should be the simplest solution to implement and to use when you need it.

Re: Noice capture is moving around
If you observe this behavior when you click the Build Profile button in Neat Video 5 after selecting an area in the frame, then it is by design. The plug-in takes your selected area as the first candidate and then also compares it with the same area in other frames around the current one to see if i...

Re: What is difference between a profile and a preset?
1. You can save those in any folder, that plays no role. 2. Yes, you can share the profiles and presets you create, with anyone. If the other person has the same major version 5 of Neat Video, then they will be able to use those. 3. Device stands for a digital camera, scanner of film, mobile phone, ...

Re: What is difference between a profile and a preset?
Please visit the user guide (section 5 Filtration process details ) to check the full workflow and to see the role of the noise profile (the properties of the noise itself) and filter preset (the settings of the noise filter) in the workflow. You do need to save both noise profile and filter preset ...

Re: Apple M1 when will it be available?
We are currently working on it. We expect it to be ready to run on end-user machines in the beginning of 2021.

Re: Applying Neat before or after edit
You do not have to edit with the noise reduction enabled. You can disable it for the time of editing for example. This way you do not have to export twice. Otherwise it is mostly a matter of personal or workflow-specific preferences I believe. Please also see this article for some additional ideas: ...

Re: Applying Neat before or after edit
If the noise is different in different scenes, then one filter will not be sufficient to cover them all accurately. To accurately reduce different noise in different scenes you need to treat it individually, scene by scene.

No, not directly. Those should work fine though.

Re: NeatBench Results for AMD Radeon RX 6000 Series Cards? Lower tier NVIDIA?
Unfortunately we haven't yet received RX 6000 series GPUs in our labs for direct tests. Moreover, the current versions of Neat Video and NeatBench will likely not be able to use those GPUs right away. They would need to be adjusted for the new GPUs. If there is a Neat Video user who already has one ...

Re: Apple M1
If you need to run the Intel version of FCP X on an M1 Mac via Rosetta 2 (for example to be able to use Intel-only plug-ins installed on that M1 Mac), that may be possible but the procedure depends on the exact version of FCP X you have. FCP X 10.4.9 If you have FCP X 10.4.9 installed on another Int...

Re: Apple M1
We expect the new M1 CPU to be close to the performance of the best laptop CPUs from Intel used in the top MacBook Pros so far. In terms of NeatBench , it would be around 13 fps. The currently available Intel version of NeatBench would show around 8 fps on a M1 machine via Rosetta. You can directly ...
