Re: Long vertical scratch on film

Only if the scratch is present in one frame. If it is present in several consecutive frames, then the filter will not reduce it. This is a limitation of the current version of the dust and scratches filter.

Re: Dual Monitor setup in Resolve 16 - problem with NeatVideo Window

Normally it should already be in front of other windows. We will double-check that on our side to see what could go wrong.

Thank you for reporting.

Re: Will changing a Settings File automatically change all Instances where it's used?

No, the filter settings in each individual instance of the filter used in your project are stored in that instance itself, not in the external file. Therefore changing the file will not change the filter settings in those instances. You would need to manually load the filter preset from the disk to ...

Re: Blue noise in dark areas is difficult to remove.

I recommend to try preparing a noise profile using the method shown in this video tutorial . Once you build a good noise profile using that method, try additionally to increase the temporal filter radius. That may help. Do not enable "Adapt to changing noise" if your clip shows the same noise from t...

Re: Macbook 16" 5600m Support?

I believe it is not in the list of supported GPUs yet. We will need to take a closer look.
Please open Neat Video Preferences > Performance > Advanced Settings
and send the whole text shown there to support [at] neatvideo.com for analysis.

Thank you,

Re: In Resolve 16, will Neat Video's automatic region select get copied from clip to clip?

This will copy the settings of the filter including the noise profile and filter settings. The region used to build the noise profile is an intermediate element used to produce the noise profile, so it is not copied. The result -- the noise profile itself -- is copied.

Re: Unreliable crashing and performance from many different machines.

Crashing with two GPUs sounds like the problem of drivers described in this page . Please double-check the version of drivers on those machines and possibly downgrade to one of the known good versions for a test. Also, try to switch Resolve itself from using the GPU in CUDA mode to OpenCL or vice ve...

Re: Sharpening & Noise Reduction: Can it be used on Log Files?

You can apply it to the original video data too, just make sure you select the correct gamma (in the lower left corner of Neat Video window)
to make the preview inside Neat Video look correct. If you cannot achieve correct preview this way, then it is best to color correct before Neat Video.
