Re: Best version for Windows 7 ?

Please read "multiple GPU users (such as a video editing application, the operating system, Neat Video and other plug-ins)"
as
"multiple software elements (such as a video editing application, the operating system, Neat Video and other plug-ins) that use the same GPU".

Re: Best version for Windows 7 ?

According to our tests, NVIDIA drivers older than 535.98 have limited support for VRAM virtualization into RAM. As a result, when multiple GPU users (such as a video editing application, the operating system, Neat Video and other plug-ins) compete for VRAM and request more than the total amount of V...

Re: 8k Video Slow Rendering in Davinci Resolve

It is likely that the computer doesn't have enough RAM and VRAM to satisfy the requirements of Resolve and Neat Video for 8k resolution. Please see the required amounts of RAM and VRAM and check if your computer satisfies those requirements. If it does not satisfy those, then the OS may start using ...

Re: GPU Error with NV6

Please install the latest version of Neat Video from your account. Then please check if the problem is still reproducible. If you get the same error, please make a screenshot of the error. Also, please go to Neat Video's Preferences > Performance > Advanced Settings and collect the log shown there. ...

Re: Pink Shift

Please try to set it to CPU only and check how that affects the image in Premiere.

The version of Premiere seems to be a bit old. It makes sense to try the latest one as there were several improvements in this specific area recently.

Re: Pink Shift

Which version of Premiere do you use?

Does Premiere use CPU or CUDA in its Mercury Engine on your machine?

Re: Install v6 alongside v5?

Yes, that is by design. Neat Video 6 will not replace the previous major versions of Neat Video on your computer. Neat Video 6 and an older version can co-exist on the same machine and even be used in the same project. If you want to use Neat Video 6 instead of an older version in an existing projec...

Re: New features : Input Scan type

A gain adjustment is usually suggested by Neat Video when a clip has very bright areas. The gain adjustment would help to avoid clipping and keep those very bright areas accessible for accurate noise analysis and noise reduction. The frame itself would indeed look darker in the viewer for the time o...

Native Apple Silicon support added in Media Composer

Media Composer 2024.12 for Mac with native Apple Silicon support has just been released by Avid. This means that Media Composer can now run in native mode on Apple Silicon Macs, which is always faster than in Rosetta mode. How much faster? This generally depends on the project, settings, effects, et...

Re: High praise for NeatVideo v6, and an FP16/FP32 question

Thank you very much for your kind words. Thanks to that capability of Premiere to serve frames via GPU memory, Neat Video 6 plug-in for Premiere can receive those faster now. There are also other factors and optimization that together make that difference. Regarding 16-bit vs 32-bit. In our experien...

Re: Neat Video 6 vs 5 and NeatBench

Thank you for sharing your results. Yes, this is the improvement we meant when talking about Lumetri. It is now less of a slowdown, even when used before Neat Video 6.

You may also want to check the same render but without Lumetri at all, to check how much time Lumetri takes.

Re: Neat Video 6 vs 5 and NeatBench

A good catch indeed! Thank you for drawing attention to that. To run NeatBench6 in 1080p mode please use the command: NeatBench6 1920x1080 Or alternatively, to run NeatBench5 in UHD mode please use the command: NeatBench5 3840x2160 Please also note that the speed difference between NeatBench5 and Ne...
