Re: GPU speed database

2) the difference in performance of the exact same GPU card when moved from the Thunderbolt enclosure to a Windows PC is pretty enormous, going from 5.71 to 19.2 FPS (GPU only). We also noticed that the same AMD GPUs may perform significantly better in Windows than in macOS. For example, please see...

Re: GPU speed database

Yes, a typical user would not try to measure different combinations. They would likely just optimize for the frame size/bitdepth/filter settings they actually use in their project. And those who want to add some more or less complete data to the database will likely try different combinations. We u...

Re: Device Noise Profile vs Preset

No, a preset does not contain the name of the profile. You can manually specify that name somewhere in the comments of the preset but even in that case, it will not automatically load the profile. Unfortunately, that is not the way the presets and profiles are originally designed to work. Thank you,...

Re: GPU speed database

Neat Video itself does not require a lot of memory (it can adapt to the available amount) but the other applications (including the host application) and plug-ins may require more GPU. For example, the modern versions of Premiere and AE require 4GB of video RAM. Resolve requires 8GB for 4K work. Etc.

Re: GPU speed database

The database is maintained by a third party, so it may take time to change. Video processing inside Neat Video and inside host application is often done in 32-bit per channel precision nowadays. 8-bit and 16-bit cases are often possible as well. Since the speed depends on that, that parameter is tak...

That may be caused by the known bug (Razor bug) of Premiere described in this page. Please try the workarounds offered there.

Re: Neat Video crashing Nuke constantly

Please create a test project with one clip and one effect applied to it, make sure the problem is reproducible in that project and then send it to us for direct tests on our side. Once we can reproduce the problem directly, we can identify the cause and find a solution. > It seems to happen mostly w...

Re: About to improve or add a pattern and lines removal too?

Thank you for your suggestions and comments. Some suggestions indeed take a longer time to consider and implement because we prioritize the development of new things based on the feedback we receive and on our own estimations of feasibility and efficiency of our possible solutions. Regarding tutoria...

Re: Applying default settings for all clips

Some comments: 1. Some raw formats make Premiere do work slower when Premiere also has to apply temporal effects (like Neat Video) to these clips. It is a Premiere thing and it can be avoided by conversion to another format before using the clip in Premiere. 2. Lumetri applied before/above Neat Vide...

Please try to disable (or delete Lumetri from the clips where you apply Neat Video) and then check if the expected render time changes significantly.

Thank you,

Re: Profile for old MniDV footage

I would start with a simpler and easier method of preparing noise profiles for your video: try to just build a fresh new profile for every clip you work with. The benefits are: (1) you will learn how to do that well in order to achieve the best results, (2) you will avoid possible mismatch of noise ...
