A tried around a little bit lately and came to the conclusion and you definitely NEED to use a scanner's descreening tool prior to using NI. When I scan images (600 dpi) without the descreening tool, the offset patterns become so large that NI doesn't identify them as noise anymore properly... Using...

Question on using NI on scanned off-set print images...
Hi, as a great Neatvideo Fan (using it nonstop since weeks now), I'd like to look into Neatimage, but have a small question first: on the intro page you state that NI can be used as a descreening tool when working with scanned offset prints. I wonder - would it be better to use NI on images previous...

First I wanted to frameserve into CCE, but I skipped this since the Neat rendering time is so huge, that I want to check the result first before further working on the video, so I save to a HuffYUV File first now. But I tried to correct the audio offset before and I worked fine. Just delay the audio...

Thanks for the input ! This week I'm working on VHS rips, so I'm going 360x576 now before splitting the fields, so it's ok anyway. I finished the first two projects last night and the results are breathtaking ! I've put so much time into various AVISynth denoising filters and I really wonder why. Wh...

Working with interlaced frames is currently not supported in NV. I recommend to use progressive frames. That's rather disappointing. Blending together fields is not an alternative when working with video-based content. Timo's workaround (720x576 -> 1440x288 -> NV -> 720x576) is a nice idea, but the...

correcting video delay introduced by NeatVideo ?
Hi, I'm using Neatvideo on some VHS rips I've done some years back. When I open a video in VirtualDub I can see that the right (output) windows lags approx. 1 frame behind the left (input) window. Also - when using VDub's frameserver I get a warning that Neatvideo introduces a video lag. Since I don...
