Vlad, This is a very urgent question: - is the latest NV supposed to keep audio/video sync in Vegas Pro 11, when the video and audio are rendered out as separate elementary streams to be used on a BD/DVD? - is the 'no lag' mode absolutely necessary to achieve that? PS. I'm reluctant to use the 'no l...

I will do, Vlad - but before I find some time to upload it, here is my observation when aplying NV to media in my project Media Bin in Vegas Pro 11: - the "No Lag" checkbox must NOT be checked, or I'll be getting video with definitely wrong cadence (the deinterlaced image is jerky and &quo...

Thanks Vlad. Basically, I have so many separate timeline events in this multi-camera project that I'm facing a 0-1 dilemma: either apply some "averaged" filtration setting to all separate files at the "Media Level", or give de-noising up all together. Adjusting separate settings ...

Workflow

Hi Vlad, As you might remember, I've used the excellent NV plugin for Vegas pro for several years now. I do multi-camera classical music events, and so far it was only necessary to apply some cleaning here and there (only with those events coming from more noisy cameras, or not properly li, etc.). N...

Vlad, please give me some time to check again what I thought I was positive about... Right now it seems it's not the NV filter that's causing this, but believe me I've run so many tests with different render formats and fps'es, and I could swear it was only present with NV:) Will return to post my f...

Exactly. The difference grows with time - and believe me, with a pianist hands on the keyboard every split second matters...

Vlad, With such a short clip (30 secs), the difference is very small (less than a frame). In order to see it - having the 2 clips one above the other on Vegas TL - you need to turn Quantize to Frame Off, and zoom in considerably around the right end! If you still don't see the difference, I'll uploa...

Hi Vlad, The required steps are obvious: 1. Load the GOPR034.MP4 clip into VP T/L 2. Apply NV filter (with or w/o No Lag option) 3. In my case, there is also a WB filter added, but that's not necessary (you may not have this filter, and this may be causing errors when loading my project) 4. Select T...

OK, here is the link to one of them: http://www.4shared.com/file/n5pXVBdV/NV_elongates_clips.html Please inspect how the rendered clip gets longer than the original; also - even though the original 29,97 fps was rendered to 25 fps (in a 25 fps project), this doesn't make any difference as rendering ...

Would love to, but a project that shows the difference between the original and rendered clips' lengths is some 160MB - my email account will not allow that (it's just soem 30 secs of video, and any shorter one would produce a hardly noticeable length difference)...

Any ftp, please?

Dear Vlad,

I'd be happy to provide you with the clip in question - but of course it's too large for email attachment; how do I send it to you?

Also, I have another question: is v3 supposed to work even faster with the VP11 which is CUDA-accelerated by itself?

Thanks

Sorry Vlad - I did try the same clip with a couple of other FXes (Sony's own Curves, or the AAV Colorlab's White Balance) - and when I render the same clip to another track, the original and the output align perfectly... Add NV 2.6 - and even with temporal filtration off, the rendered clip is slight...

Vlad, I have rendered the very same clip using the very same codec and settings, in 2 versions - one with, the other without the NV plugin. Unfortunately, while the non-NV version is exactly the same length as the original, and aligns with it perfectly on Vegas T/L one under another - the same canno...

OK, so I confused the version numbers - of course I'm using 2.6. Please answer question 1 for me, as I cannot seem to be able to get rid of lag completely - even with temporal filter off!

Is this normal with VP 10/NV 2.6?
