Neat Video as a sharpness plug-in?

I'm wondering if people use Neat Video strictly as a sharpness filter even on footage that doesn't have noise problems because the sharpness part seems very clean and effective to me.

Could you simply set your noise reduction filters to 0 and then work with increase sharpness settings by themselves.
