Please check the VirtualDub menu Options > Preview field mode > ???

Regarding the clip itself, test it using GSpot ( gspot.headbands.com ), it may help.

The Demo plug-in is limited to 30 min of footage as specified in the featuremap, so I guess you observe that limit in action.

> I'm assuming it's interlaced with lower field first.

That may not necessarily be true. If interlaced, the clip may have an incorrect field order. Or it may already be deinterlaced before.

Please double-check the clip properties.

Thank you,

I guess it made/makes sense to check the whole setup in Avisynth on a small clip first. Please try that now. The problem may be in your script, in codecs you use, in NV settings you give it, etc. Make a small clip work first, then render the whole thing.

1) Most important is too check the final filtration result, having a high quality of the profile is less important. It may be possible to get good filtration results with lower quality profile so check the actual filtration results as the main indicator of success. 2) Yes, VirtualDub offers somewhat...

Fine-tuning is a part of profiling process. Auto Profile does it as well, but you can additionally manually fine-tune and sometimes that can make the profile better. Regarding the procedure, please see the user guide , pages 20-25. You will find a description of the profiling tools available in Adva...

The Quality indicator shows how good/accurate the profile itself is. Like how good is a suit made by a tailor. A suit may be good (made of good material, properly stitched, without defects, etc., in a word, of high quality) in itself, but it is not necessarily good for everyone - some people may req...

1. Yes, more or less. If you want to have separate profile for every scene then you have to manually add NV to this scene (assuming it is separated using a split) and prepare noise profile / adjust the noise filter settings. If you want to use just one instance of NV for the whole clip, do not split...

The answer is of course yes, it does make sense to build separate profiles for different clips/scenes. As long as the host application allows that, go for it.

It is quite likely that we built a profile after manually selecting an area for Auto Profile to analyze. Don't really remember if that was the case but generally you can get a more accurate profile by selecting an area manually (or at least by checking whether the automatics selected an uniform area...

Here is an example of why the SDK should be updated. There are also certain new features in new versions of Vegas that are not reflected in the old SDK. 64 bits may not really require an update but given the general poor support from the side of Vegas developers regarding the abovelinked issue, I ex...

Well, I guess Vegas developers have to update the software development kit (not updated since 2003-2004) to support new features of Vegas like the 64-bit version. Without that kit updated, plug-in developers cannot do much to support these features...
