WHAT was your choice again? All you say in your post is they are all equal except processing speed. Edit: I experimented a little with izotope and Audacity. Audacity won the first few rounds but then I fine-tuned izotope to the maximum and most time-consuming settings and it was audibly better quali...

It's included, but there are also plug-ins. The one I use is built-in, and it's really good. Joran, I already have a license for Sound Forge pro so I will look into the vocal eraser plugin. However, I don't expect too much because I looked at several songs in spectrogram view in izotope and see the ...

Joran, thank you very much for the link. I downloaded and played around with the demo and I'm impressed with the user friendly interfaced and advanced tools. However... it's denoiser looks inferior to Audacity's refined denoiser. I like to reduce my noise so its completely inaudible, but if I do tha...

A question: Can you also use only the temporal filter (together with the adaptive filtration) option ?? I mean without even building a noise profile ?? You could build a noise profile (any profile) and set the (I forget the name) to 0 instead of the default 60, or something low like 5 or 10. If YES...

However it is not always possible to find the largest area automatically. Why not? If I understand right, autoprofile works currently by testing a 32x32 area (let's assume our resolution is 320x240) on location 1x1, then 1x2, 1x3...........until it reaches 288x208 and sticks with whichever received...

Enhancing autoprofile
Recently, I messed around with a video with medium noise, found the most uniform frame I could find and pressed the autoprofile button. It selected the best 32x32 area with a rating of around 55%. I was not satisfied with the number, so I manually selected an area (about 64x32) and I got a rating of...

Ok, I processed 100 frames and saved to an AVI and the noise was not present. The output pane on VirtualDub also confirmed it was working, and while processing the entire video again, the output pane confirmed the filter was in action. When I opened the 9 GB AVI and browsed to the 100000th frame whe...
