I am not sure whether it is the same effect but we did observe that Pinnacle Studio sometimes didn't provide the right frames to the plug-in if a clip was split into several parts. The Demo plug-in is limited to 30 min of footage as specified in the featuremap, so I guess you observe that limit in action.
