The compare tab

Why did you remove the tab with do comparisons from Virtual dub Neat Video plug-in? It was useful before. Other than that, this new version is awesome.

If NV is based on an upgraded wavelet transform then it can benefit greatly from GPU, but Vlad doesnt wanna say how the algorithm works.

I tried Avidemux today and it was very annoying. Sometimes it crash for no reason and I cant seem to save file direct stream with sound or extract sound from MP4 files. Is this a virtualdub for linux?

And happy new year everybody!

Ok I read on xbitlabs and it seems i7 features are promising especially for the future. I only understood half though :( but I come to conclusion that it is 40% faster than c2q on average, and really good for specificed tasks. Im not understand most technicalities as i'm unfortunately not that kind ...

I would also love to know how the i7 compares to the C2Q 9550. Most of my friends tell me that if I wanna have equipment a respectable hacker gets then I would get a C2Q 9550 because its the fastest on the market that is cheap but really fast. They say 9650 and 9750 are much more expensive but not t...

Hi, I can't contribute to this because I'm nobody :( but I was wondering how professionals in hollywood or any professionals do denoising? Maybe some use Neat video but I'm positive that most dont. Also NV only exist 4 years so what did they do 5 years ago? Do they have top secret technology and sup...

Hi I think it is compressions artifacts from original video. With high compression with WMV and similar codecs the artifacts and blocks "bleed" and leave trails if you understand what I mean. It is hard to remove this even with Neatvideo without killing details. The main noise and compress...

NV algorithm

Which algorithm does neat video use to remove noise? It says on the home page only that it uses more advanced method than wavelets, but doesn't really say anything. So does neatvideo use a specific algorithm or a number of different algorithms?

Encoding 50 minutes of that resolution takes less than 7 hours on my PC and I'm using an old one. Hardware encoding is too complicated for a newb and requires so many annoying steps. It's really not worth saving just 1 hour. Most people have dual or quad core computers now so NV isn't as horribly sl...
