I think you will be able to do that using Premiere.

Unfortunately, I cannot directly reproduce this effect on our computers. I am using the clip from the testkit for this test. I have added the clip in Video 1, then added it again in Video 2. Added NV to both clips. Video 1 and Video 2 have an overlap. Added Cross Dissolve to the overlap area in Vide...

One of the things we are working on is a more flexible profiling (as we discussed by e-mail last week). This should help you build better profiles when working with interlaced frames. Another thing is some optimizations and compatibily improvements. I think the next update will be available next mon...

Because it is an interlaced video clip. Neat Video is given interlaced ("squished") frames by Premiere when you build a profile and also when you render the clip.

Hi Stephen,

Thank you for more details on your setup.

It seems to be a bit old processor - P4 2GHz. Still, I would say it provides an adequate speed: ~30*60/~1200 = ~ 1.5 fps. With a more recent processor, say PentiumD or Core Duo, you could get 3+ fps in the same setup.

Hope this helps.

The Demo could work faster because it filtered only part of each frame while the Pro plug-in has to filter everything. To speed up processing you could disable the "High quality option", set some of the noise reduction amounts to 0%, reduce temporal filter radius. Most of these changes wou...

Hello Peri, There are two important points that I want to emphasize: 1) It is important to analyze and filter the frames of the same size. If you build a noise profile using a 720x480 frame but filter 720x240 frames during rendering then the noise described by the profile is different from noise in ...

In the current version, it is not available yet. We will add this option in the next update of NV.

The sample profile and preset are available in the testkit (described in the userguide), where they correspond to the test video clip.

Are you sure that this is a common problem? - I haven't seen similar comments from other users yet. Moreover, I think that the "negative effect on luma" is caused by using an inaccurate noise profile. Therefore the correct solution would be to build a more accurate profile. Adding a new ch...

Not that Neat Video gave such a preference.. The performance of most applications doesn't grow linearly with increase of frequency. Anyway, both higher frequency and more cores (and faster RAM) are important for NV filtration.

Hi Rikki, I think any Pentium3 and higher computer would work with modern video processing software packages but of course a more powerful computer is a benefit. For example, to use Neat Video (to reduce noise and grain in captured footage) I recommend to use Core 2 Duo or Core Duo (faster versions ...

Thank you for the suggestions, I will take these to our wish list.

Regarding processing speed, you may want to run NV on a dual CPU. For example, PentiumD 945 makes about 2 FPS on 720x576 frames. Fast CPU and fast memory are essential to achieve higher filtration speed.

Yes, the script parameter has a bit larger range.
