epi, I think it your lcd monitor. When my towns computer shop stopped selling CRT screens I noticed LCD was lower quality, had color bands like you described etc. Maybe you also notice on CRT but that is because without the noise you notice things you wouldnt otherwise. You should just compress it w...

Yes, Neat video rocks! Like you, I have used useless denoisers in the past, and never had the nerve to ask myself how these common, generic denoisers can do anything meaningful when they simply apply a transform over the whole frame (usually blurring with more advanced ones preserving edges but stil...

Unemployed at the moment and barely have enough money for a decent internet connection but even this will change soon if I don't find work soon. Anyway, I know there's a 30 minute limit but I didn't know this applied to multiple different videos. I guess NV counts multiple instances as one video :P ...

Running multiple instances of NV
I was denoising 3 videos at the same time with Vdub NV and one of them stopped denoising at about 4 minutes so I had to redo that one. I know the demo has a limit of half an hour but each of my clips are only 10-15 minutes each. Tell me something I dont know?

dum, you could also try leaving the case open (if you have a home computer and not laptop.) I do it during the summer and it stays really cool. Additionally, during winter if the computer is too cold and won't start up, I open the case in a warmer room to let it warm up faster. It will catch a lot o...

Does NeatVideo support GPU processing?
Many denoisers on http://compression.ru/video/index.htm used to be so slow (1-3 fps) until they implemented GPU processing and they now run in realtime. If NeatVideo can run in realtime, that would be cool.

Sample noise selection - does it have to be square?
I have a video where the only featureless area I can find is a scene of a house with some sky in the view, but the sky area is triangle and I can only select a small portion of it. Would it be practical if the selection would be made more flexible and I could select the whole area?

Gridding artifact in solid areas
When denoising with NV, there's sometimes appears a grid in areas of no motion and solid color. Usually on areas with less or no noise. This isn't really a problem or annoying, just wanted to let you know if you weren't aware, because this might bug videophiles or companies who need their videos fla...
