i figured it was down to two things.

1. even though it would complete the test and be ok with the 4.7ghz via the 5960x. i had to bring it down to 4.6

2. and this should really be the more important factor, the new pp pro cc 2015 was a cause of many other issues aswell.

also from experince, make sure you select a scene which has a lot of noise. as ive noticed neat video has a performance difference depending on how much noise there is on the screen you have up.

plus you need to accept the changes and apply.

well thats where the thought breaks down, as the gpu has 4GB and at the time was only at 1800 used up. and its not the first time its happened (happened a few months ago) and as stated when i did the ctrl+c the project basically stood there so nothing happened with the cpu. so i restarted with reins...

That has sod all to do with any filter, its all to do with the encoding settings.

that happens with theres specific filters working alongside others that dont like each other. so you need to do some test and figure which plugin it is.
