Vlad, you are not telling me anything new and you're not listening to what I'm saying. it changes more drastically in other parts of your video. Drastically is a stretch, it changes but not that much and I already said NV3 didn't have this problem. to build a single profile based on samples of stron...

Update: That new profile you gave me works a lot better than mine even on the scene with the sharp noise. In fact, according to the profile info it has more components in all frequencies and channels even though it has a lower rating. But visually I do NOT see it having more components, especially h...

NVTeam, the speed is not finally the point. If it were to be many times slower, I would expect better results. I'm consistently getting worse results with NV4 despite the slower processing. Either too much noise removed or not enough. In that case, not enough. Have you checked out the test case I up...

Test case: https://www.sendspace.com/file/f7j7qa EDIT: I forgot to include the NV 4.0 DNP in that RAR. Here they both are: https://www.sendspace.com/filegroup/ghlNGAjjqyJtjjXBEACbsg I also included the frame I chose as the best for a noise profile because it contained the sharpest noise with a large...

4.0 still ceases to impress me. There's a problem once again and this time I created the profile with both NV4 and NV3. NV4 leaves more noise in. Check it: https://www.sendspace.com/filegroup/y3PXHB6KV8JKdAza2mD6aYd%2Bh%2BR0K%2F9%2F NV4 either removes too much or too little noise. Having the spot re...

http://www.sendspace.com/filegroup/8Ad3GR99cqiy6K7vvVVtPowycL0soSNV NV4 with adapt off produces similar results ot NV3 with adapt on. Turning adaptive denoising in NV4 retains more unwanted noise like in these screenshots. Why is this? It does seem to retain details in other parts though which is wh...

It's a private video so I cannot which sucks because I cannot reproduce this on other clips. Ironically, on some other clips it doesn't remove enough noise as v3 would. Basically I think it is being too aggressive with this one and oversmoothing. What would one do in this situation? Lowering the Y r...

New 4.0 neatvideo
Can some clarification be added about these new features? "Dust and Scratches" filter to remove film scratches, dust, impulse interference (more...) How does this work? Will these scratches and dust have to be in the noise profile or will NV automatically try to detect and remove the scrat...

Hmm wtf I search and see RAM typically takes 2-3 watts. I've been told it takes like 50. Oh well, good to know it doesnt. For the record, your 3930 at 4ghz is vs my 920 at 2.8ghz. If we adjust for the difference in frequency, your machine is actually 1.82x faster than mine. Thanks for the answers. D...

Your log doesnt mean anything to me because we dont have the same RAM. I have a DDR3 4GB 1333. We dont match at all. If you need to see the log here it is Frame: 1920x1080 progressive, Radius: 1 frame Running the test data set on up to 8 CPU cores and on up to 1 GPU CPU only (1 core): 1.26 frames/se...
