Buildin profile

Hello.

I've noticed something odd with last VDub version.
When manualy building noise profile with previous version, noise level only increased if you selected several times on different place the same color.
Now, it increase or decrease if you do the same thing.
Is it normal ?

I've got once something with similar problem, but, as it's something somehow static, my feeling was that it didn't have the criteria to be considered noise by NV, and so, it's not removed. We are here relatively "away" from "standard" noise.

DGIndexNV can be found here : http://neuron2.net/dgdecnv/dgdecnv.html You've probably save your file on uncompressed format ! I'll suggest you to use UT Video codecs : http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Ut_Video_Codec_Suite.htm These are lossless codec, you can expect around 25GB of size file for a...

I did google DGIndexNV but found only a lot of forum discussions, which I confess I didn't understand. I do have DGIndex and ffdshow on my PC and have downloaded, though not installed AviSynth. Jeff You first need to install Avisynth, otherwise, you will not be able to do anything. DGindexNV is not...

Install avisynth and ffdshow, and create a simple aivsynht script like : DirectShowSource("file.mts",fps=xx.xxxx) xx.xxx = 25.000 or 23.976 or 29.97, don't know the fps of your video. You'll be able to open your video on VDub. More, take a look at DGIndexNV (google search it), it works wit...

I've made some filtering with the x64 pluggin version, and i've the feeling, at least for the x64 version, that speed has been improved since 2.2 version.

Color space

Hello. In previous VDub version, you had the possibility to chose the working colorspace (YCbCr, RGB, etc...). Now, in the new version, this option seems to have been removed (unless it's hidden somewhere i've not seen). It's not realy a problem, as i was always working in the default colorspace YCb...

You can use freeware lossless codec like Lagarith, HuffYUV or UT Video.
I've very recently discovered this last one, i strongly suggest it.
