Neat Video doesn't benefit from that option anyway, NV uses multiple cores itself, so it is better to just let NV do it.

You could try to use key frames to logically separate the clip into scenes and then customize NV profile in each scene. If you use a modern video editing application (like premiere or vegas) then it should be possible to apply different filter settings (meaning different profiles in case of NV) to p...

The main trick is to correctly build the noise profile for your clip. When the built/used noise profile does not correspond to the actual noise in the clip then artifacts are possible. It is important to correctly build the profile. In any case, I could check your clip within your project to see the...

Depending on specific size (in pixels) of the those HDV frames, the speed may be about right for that hardware. You can disable some parts of the filter (like disabling filtration in some of the channels, disabling very low frequency option, disabling high quality option, disabling temporal filter, ...

That popup window showing the frame belongs to VirtualDub, it is VD who is drawing the window itself and frame in it. So, it looks like an issue of DirectX compatibility of VirtualDub. I guess you should be able to reproduce the same effect with other filters that also use the same popup window prov...

You probably use Vista with user account control (UAC) enabled. Sometimes that may fool NV and it then doesn't see the completed registration correctly. Please make sure you run both VirtualDub and MeGui using the same account. You may also want to try disabling UAC and then re-registering NV from V...

Looks like NV is asking AE to provide a relatively small amount of memory (3MB) and AE is failing to provide it. AE first reports its failure to get the required free memory from Windows and then NV says the same once again when no memory is provided by AE on request. There is not much NV can do in ...

Thank you for the clip. Yes, it is more clear now. The effect is caused by the fact there are dublicated frames in the main clip (each frame participates two times). To correctly operate in Vegas, NV has to apply special treatment to dublicate frames in general and in some cases this leads to droppi...
