Flat output colours

Post by N4865G »

Good day,

I have been using the Neat Image to post process my high ISO TIFF files after Capture One basic pp flow.

I just realised that my Neat Image output files have much flatter colour profile than the TIFF input ones.

I tried it with several camera profiles, the auto-profile, but the result is always that much flatter picture.
Interestingly enough it reduces the file size significantly.

As they say a picture is worth a thousand words, so here is the comparison:

Base TIFF picture exported to JPEG with no denoising:

Picture processed with Neat Image:

I wonder if there is something relevant in my settings or profiles which impacts this colour output.
Thank you in advance for your comments,

If you input TIFFs, then please save output files in TIFF format as well. This way you will preserve all details of the color profile and the image will look the same.

Hallo again,
I managed to export files to TIFF with colours retained per the original file.
Is there any way to bypass this step and achieve the same by direct export to JPEG file without losing contrast and colour tonality?
In the current solution this means an additional step in my workflow.

Thank you
Kind regards

You can only avoid that step if your input image is also in JPEG format. Then you can save the output image in JPEG too.
