Profiles for Version 7

Post by RichardRegal »

Does anyone know whether we need to redo the version 6 profiles to get the best results?

There is no need to redo them.

Thanks. Does that mean the underlying noise cancellation algorithm has not chaged?

The algorithms are improved in some areas but they can still use the same noise profiles, so no need to rebuild.

I have just installed NI plugin on Photoshop CS5 64 bit version under Windows 7 64bit. I have transfered in several sets of profiles after using them in CS3 with Windows XP but they are not recognised. They do not show up on the plugin screen in CS5 and when I investigate further I get messages that Windows cannot read these files. Can anyone explain if I am doing something wrong, or whether Windows 7 64 bit is a problem for Neat Image. Regards Chemop.

You probably transferred them to an incorrect location.

Please open the plug-in, go to the menu Tools > Preferences > Folders
and check the folder specified there. It must be in your documents. Please copy all profiles to that folder (not any folder in program files).

Hope this helps,
