How to buld a profile for 3D 180 & 360 Cameras

Post by Distorteddesigns »

If there was ever cameras that need your software it's VR 3D 180 & 360 cameras. All of the non pro and even the pro cams have a ton of noise no matter what the settings and lighting. There isn't a way to defocus the target with the camera, or make it big enough to fill the image. You have to take the pic from at least 2' away if not more. Difficult to find anything a neutral color with no texture to take a picture of. I specifically need to make a denoise profile for Kandao Qoocam. Any ideas?

I would try to use the existing target even if it is not filling the whole shot. Then manually select an area in the central square of the target and click Auto Profile. The resulting profile will likely be good.

To shoot the target you will need to print it on white paper without visible texture.

Hope this helps.
