I have a question about the adaptive filtration filter: when denoising say for ex. a 60 min video with numerous different kinds of shots and scenes: is it better to denoise each scene individually? or is it fine to just go through the whole video as long as each color space is filled?

Yes.

If different scenes have significantly different noise then it is best to treat them individually, using separate instances of the filter with different noise profiles built for each scene.
