Use 'sharpen' before or after 'Neat'?

Working in FCPX 10.3

I have't explored Neat's 'sharpening' process. Just wondering if I'll get a better job from Neat than from FCPX native sharpener?

I'm cutting a 4K film, need to use a bunch of HD shots which I want to bump up. Notice that Neat gives a nice 'cleaner' look to the HD even if there is no apparent noise.

If I use FCPX sharpener with Neat, do I want to put it before or after Neat in the stack?

All ears,

Ben

Certainly noise reduction first, sharpening after. If you sharpen the noise before it is reduced, then it will be more difficult to remove.

Thank you,

Thank you Vlad,

Most kind of you.

I'm a happy camper.

All the best,
