Vega Support

Just wondering when we might expect to see support for AMD Vega?

Granted I'm guessing at the lack of support...as I just redid my system and haven't gotten everything back up...however running Neat Bench only my CPU (Ryzen 7) was tested...no GPU (RX Vega).

We are working on adding support for Vega GPUs as we speak. Hopefully we will be able to release an update soon.

Hey, Just bought NV and am loving how the final video looks from my GH5 with this and film convert! My 2016 MBP w/ Touch Bar + FCPX is struggling however haha.

To try avoiding buying a second machine (Mac Pro), I have purchased an Sonnet eGPU with both the RX 580 and Vega 56 this week. The RX seems to bring the fps from 1.35 to 2.35fps with 2160p footage (both the internal radeon pro 455 2gb and the RX580 and 5 cores) . While the Vega isn't supported by NV yet but renders everything else much quicker.

I know the Vega is more powerful and is showing so in all of the benchmarks on High Sierra...However I have the option to return one of them this week. Would you suggest keeping the Vega (if the update is in the near future) or returning that and sticking with the less powerful RX580 - which is already supported?

Thanks :)

Hi itsphilos,

could you please run NeatBench ( https://www.neatvideo.com/download/neatbench ) on your computer with Vega 56 connected via the eGPU and send us its full log for analysis?

Tech support contact details are listed here:
