Does Neat Video with VirtualDub support and benefit from multiprocessor systems?

Yes, Neat Video can use all available processors in multiprocessor systems to speedup filtration.

That's great to know.
Have any tests been run to measure the improvement gain.
I want to know how much the investment in a multicore system will improve the processing time.

Thanks.

With a dual-core system, it is about x1.6-1.7. Can be a bit higher or lower depending on memory speed.

Generally, I highly recommend to purchase a dual/multicore system. Applications like NV (and also Neat Image) can utilize these new capabilities and moreover, new dual-core processors are generally able to run the same applications faster.

Hope this helps.

Are Neat Video and Neat Image also optimized for the Amd X64 instruction set yet?

Neat Image and Neat Video are 32-bit applications, they do not use 64-bit extensions. NI and NV are optimized using SSE instructions. So the faster CPU the better. The faster the RAM the better.
