Removal of noise from ground glass DOF adapter?

A colleague recently shot two segments with a 35mm Letus Extreme depth of field adapter. Unfortunately, he forgot to turn on the vibration motor so there is a major fixed-pattern noise on the shots. Is this something that NV can remove accurately if we can provide a clean 'reference plate' of the same fixed grain pattern? If the pattern is shifted, would NV still be able to perform a noise removal? Any other ways to tackle this fix? (it's not possible to reshoot).
