Adaptive filtration for interlaced video

Since interlaced filtering simply splits the video into 2 streams/fields, does NV vary its "adaptive filtration" independently for each field ? I ask because I have found that it is not unusual for old VHS tapes to have one field that is noisier than the other (even after the playback VCR heads have been cleaned) presumably because the recording VCR had one clogged head.

If not, please consider implementing per-field adaptive filtration.

It is currently not done independently for each field. Thank you for the suggestion, we will certainly consider this for the newer versions.

In the meantime, you may want to apply the filter to each field-stream individually or to deinterlace the clip before denoising.

Thank you,
