WORKFLOW: Neat before or after color match/correction?

Hi guys,

I'm just about to use Neat for my first full project since getting this great filter. I've gone through a musical performance that we had recorded in fairly low light using a SONY HDER-CX700V and a CANON 5D. Tracks are sync'd in FCPX, edit points are almost finalized, transitions are on the way ;-) and now comes time to think about post.

1. Should I apply Neat video on the clips timeline or to the footage directly in the Multicam clip?

2. Same question with the color correction.

I realize that if I do apply the filter it's probably best to disable while working until the last stages (rendering times).

The cuts are 3 25-min sets which will be eventually cut into one 10 song live performanc, two 5 song sets (previous released songs + new releases) and then into individual song releases.

I appreciate your advice.

Thanks

Jb

It would work best in the timeline and before color correction and other effects.

However I do recommend to try different combinations to see which way it works best in your specific project, both in terms of quality and in terms of render time.
