Versions Neat Image

Post by Jerzy W »

The Home version does not process RAW files (nef, tiff) that are commonly used in advanced amateur photography. The Pro version has many unnecessary functions for an amateur and is too expensive. The Demo version is too poor for an advanced amateur. Maybe some Home + version for processing 16 bit RAW files?

None of the versions can process RAW files directly.
You can open a RAW file in Photoshop and then apply Neat Image noise reduction to the image.
However you do then need the Pro version to be able to work on a 16-bit image.
Support for higher bitdepths is a part of the Pro version. We do not plan to change that.
Please check if you need to apply noise reduction in 16-bit precision. Perhaps your workflow
changes the bitdepth to 8 bits at some point, where you could apply noise reduction.
