Question about "Slow Shutter" mode

Post by jpsdr »

Hello.

First, thanks for all the work you're doing with this excellent filter.

I've a question about Slow Shutter mode.
I'm almost working with anime, and there is very often static scene, where nothing changes during several frames. But it's only the scene or the content of the picture which doesn't change, noise/grain changes each frame.
So, if i understood properly, Slow Shutter mode is nevertheless not for these cases, because grain/noise changes.
It's for cases when even the noise/grain is duplicated frame to frame (and so doesn't change).
Am i correct ?

Thank you. I hope the new version works well.

Regarding the Slow Shutter mode, it is intended to help filter cope with situations where the whole frame is duplicated (almost exact copy) or only noise is duplicated from one frame to another.

If the noise does change from frame to frame (there are no repeating areas, like those shown in the second example here) in your clips then you do not need to enable that mode.
