Then it should be no problem that the profile does not cover ranges of brightness that are anyway not present in your clips.

Sorry for my late reply.
After analyzing all of our conversations, would you be willing to have open ears and allow me to contribute ideas into possibly creating a new tool specifically to profile for more accurate de-noising???

Please kindly prepare a test case (a project with source clips) demonstrating your point(s) and send it to support [at] neatvideo.com along with any necessary comments describing the steps that need to be taken with/in that project to reproduce/observe the issues you are talking about. Please also state your points in the same e-mail. We will check the test case, consider your points and then comment on those.
