Progressive or Interlaced

It’s been a while since I used NeatVideo. But now with the new version for Sony Vegas Pro 9 64-bit I am ready to start using it again.

From the User manual, page 8: “In the Neat Video plug-in configuration window, select either Progressive or Interlaced depending on the scan type of the currently processed video sequence.”

Question: Does this imply that I always should choose Interlaced when I work with PAL DV and other interlaced formats?

If you work with an interlaced footage and in the point of the workflow where you use Neat Video it is still interlaced (which may not always be the case; for example, if you use some form of deinterlacing before Neat Video then it will come as full frames, not fields) then select "Interlaced" in Neat Video. If the footage is already deinterlaced at this point of your workflow, use the "Progressive" option.
