Hello. I'm using Premiere Pro CS5 with Neat Video 3 Pro. I used Neat Video to remove some grain, but the video looks awful. How can I improve this video so that it is acceptable? I have posted a link to an example. The video is HD 1080i.

I wonder whether you thought that applying NV to your footage would somehow lighten it? Is the light level typical of the whole video?

Clearly, the footage was shot in very low light conditions (or your camera had some setting that was wrong) and the result is "very dark"! I don't have PP but I would assume there is a setting/effect somewhere within it that allows you to increase the overall Brightness. I suspect you may not be able to increase it very much without artifacts of some kind appearing but that is where I would start. (Perhaps attempting to brighten the original footage first and then applying NV might be a better workflow, in order to attempt to remove any additional picture disturbances introduced by the brightening process.)

I did brighten it and color correct it before applying Neat Video. The brightness is as good as it's going to get, and yes it is typical of the entire video.
