I've been using NV on many clips up to about 12 seconds in length in FCPX 10.0.6 and now 10.0.7 and have not seen any of the bugs/issues discussed here.

I have 2 systems with my 2011 iMac on different hard drives - OS 10.6.8 & 10.8.2 and today tested current FCPX (10.0.7) version with NV on both. I can't reproduce any of issues mentioned in this thread.

Also tried with an older iMac running OS 10.8.2 with NV 3.2 in FCPX 10.0.7..
no issues either.

Perhaps these problems are affecting some machines & not others?

Having sent a couple of pleading Feedback requests to Apple to fix the issue I have been wondering about a workaround...

I notice that intelligentassistance.com offer a Xto7 app that converts an X project into FCP7, and was wondering if my Neat FCPX Noise reducer licence works for the FCP7 version, and if so.....

...maybe we can apply the filter on an exported project within FCP7.

Obviously a ridiculous workflow, but maybe the only option until Apple fix...?

Has anyone got Xto7 and able to confirm if this will work?

The plug-in itself support FCP X, 7 and 6, so it will work.

Regarding the project conversion (Xto7) I am not sure, never tried that.

In my opinion, it might be easier to re-install 10.0.5. Of course there may also be some problems with projects that were upgraded to 10.0.6/7 format, but for new work 10.0.5 would be the best solution for now.

Thanks Vlad

You're right though I have many projects that have been created in 6 & 7, so going back isn't really an option.

I presume there is no way I can run 10.0.5 & the newest version?

Two versions of FCPX? Probably not.

That's Ok, I've just exported a project as an .mov and am now applying the filter to it within FCP7, hopefully that will work.

Thanks again
