Hi thanks for the free update, though I was wondering if it would be too much of a pain for you to include the version number in the downloaded installer filename. That would help all your customers keep their downloads organized.

Cheers!

The rationale behind using the same name was the following: if you simply download the latest version and overwrite the old download then you can never run into a problem of using an outdated version (which may have bugs that have been already fixed in the latest version and support also would not have to chase old bugs). Just keeping the newest version by default seems to be the simplest solution working well in most cases.

Of course if you want to keep old versions and/or experiment with different versions you can always add the number manually during download.

In any case, thank you for the suggestion. We will consider implementing this idea when working on newer releases.

Thank you,
Vlad

In addition, if you found a bug in the new version you will not be able to rollback to the old one easy :)
I always include version number in file name during new installer downloading.
