DSLR Moire removal

Post by monoem »

Hello, firstly I want to thank you for making such a great product for a very reasonable price. The new major version - 3.0 - greatly succeeds even in removing compression artifacts, especially from older AVCHD cameras, where grain and blocky pattern is visible even in highlights and good exposure.
The only thing for me which separates this program from perfection is lack of moire removal. While of course it isn't straightly related to noise, its horribly degrading picture quality especially when using high-end lenses or in situations where a dense, complex pattern is present in the shot (brick wall, a fabric, waving water etc.)
Gladly, a talented man named Jorgen Escher, created a FinalCut Pro plugin to tackle this issue, but he didn't develop it for the other systems. His website is here: https://colorbyjorg.wordpress.com/plugins/

Since your great plugin already fights chromatic noise in Blue & Red Channels, it would be most welcomed for me & other users to have such anti-moire filter available. Except for FCP, this would be the first plugin to fight this common & serious issue and I'm sure it will attract more people to buy your wonderful tool.
I hope that some day I'll see this feature in NeatVideo

Cheers!
